Tepe Sialk is an ancient archaeological area with more than 8000 years of history
Tepe Sialk is a large ancient archeological site in a suburb of the city of Kashan, Isfahan Province, in central Iran, close to Fin Garden. In Persian, Tappe means hill.
This ancient place also is a ziggurat that was built in 3000 BC. Study shows that the oldest settlements in this place was built at 6000 BC.
It is thought to this place and area around it have originated because of the pristine large water. That still running today. Source of water in this area is Cheshmeh ye Soleiman nearby mountains.
Sialk at first excavated by a team of European archeologists in 1930s. And they found many treasures. Now this treasures are in there museums of Europe and America.
Study shows that the burial ceremonies in Tepe Sialk was different from the other parts of Iran. Many of the things were found in this city is excavated from the Cemetery.
